A German Requiem
As a tribute to the original Falmouth Interfaith Choir, this majestic work – first performed in the inaugural season of the Choir in 1964 – has been selected to launch 2014, the Chorale’s 50th Anniversary. Brahms’ most beloved choral masterpiece, which includes the well-known “How Lovely Is Thy Dwelling Place,” focuses on uplifting and comforting the living. Sung in English, the performance features soloists Joan Kirchner (soprano), Mark McGrath (baritone) who join us with full orchestra.
