This award, now in its tenth year, has the dual purpose of supporting the higher education goals of Upper Cape music students and of honoring Frederick Johnson, a long-time Falmouth music educator who directed the Falmouth Chorale for seventeen years.

Last year’s scholarship was awarded to Cameron Costello from Falmouth High School. This year’s recipient will be introduced at The Falmouth Chorale’s spring concert, "I Hear America Singing" to be performed at John Wesley United Methodist Church in Falmouth.

Applications and information about the scholarship are available from guidance offices at the following schools:  Bourne, Falmouth, Mashpee, and Sandwich High Schools, Falmouth Academy, Sturgis Charter Schools and St. John Paul II High School. Applications are available by contacting Joan Davis, Scholarship Chairperson, at 508-759-2104. Completed applications are due by March 24, 2017.
