'Tis The Season
Ever wondered with a Yoruba Nigerian dialect sounds like?

answers at their upcoming concert performance,’Tis the
Seasons. Performing at the beautifully decorated First
Congregational Church on the Green in Falmouth and
led by Artistic Director John Yankee, The Falmouth Chorale,
will present ‘Tis the Seasons on Saturday, December 10,
at 4 PM and 7:30 PM and on Sunday, December 11, at 3 PM.
Enhanced by the young voices of the Cape Cod Children’s
Chorus, a string quartet, and a percussionist, the concerts
will highlight the variety of seasonal celebrations that occur during the fall and winter months.
The catalyst for this concert is to introduce audiences to music that
celebrates more than just Christmas. This concert is grouped into
songs also honoring Thanksgiving, Advent, Solstice, Hanukkah,
Kwanzaa, Boxing Day, New Year’s, Epiphany and Winter, of course.
Chorale members have had to brush up on their language skills this
season, since this concert contains music in Spanish, Latin, German,
Hebrew and the Nigerian Yoruba dialect.
Come kick start your holiday and experience all the celebrations of
the Season in one concert.
The mission of the Falmouth Chorale is to share with our
audiences the joy of singing and to communicate with passion the marvelous and varied choral music which has been created over the centuries.
