Soprano Joan Kirchner performs widely on and off the Cape as a soloist for oratorio, opera and recital repertoire, from medieval works to the American Songbook.  She is a favorite with Woods Hole Cantata Consort audiences and has sung with the Falmouth Chorale, Chatham Chorale, Handel & Haydn Society, Masterworks Chorale, Mastersingers by the Sea, Chorus North Shore, Toronto's Tafelmusik Chamber Choir, and a variety of venues on the Cape. She is a co-founder of  the Renaissance group OYEZ!  A native of western New York State, Joan holds bachelor's degrees from Houghton College and a master's degree in Church Music and Organ Performance from Indiana University.  She also studied at the Eastman School of Music. She has served churches in Indiana, North Carolina, Nantucket, as well as on the Cape, and teaches voice, piano, flute, and organ at her home studio in Brewster
 Praised as a "commanding, intelligent stage presence," Philip Lima, baritone, has appeared in leading roles with opera companies across the United States and in Germany in a wide range of traditional and contemporary repertory, including La Cenerentola, Così fan tutte, Madama Butterfly, Tosca, The Mikado, Pagliacci, Samson et Dalila, Semele, Kurt Weill's Die Bürgschaft and Rise and Fall of the City of Mahagonny, Robert Ward's The Crucible, Scott Joplin's Treemonisha, Viktor Ullmann's Der Kaiser von Atlantis, and the world premieres of Nathan Davis's JAZZ OPERA-Just Above My Head and Leslie Burrs's Vanqui. He also has performed in recital, concert, and oratorio domestically and in Italy, Ukraine, and South Korea, appearing as soloist in the Requiems of Faure' and Brahms, Beethoven's Ninth Symphony and Elijah, Bernstein's Mass, Bach's St. John Passion, Orff's Carmina Burana, Haydn's The Creation, Walton's Beishazzar's Feast, Mahler's Kindertotenlieder, and Vaughan Williams's Sea Symphony, Five Mystical Songs, and Dona Nobis Pacem. Mr. Lima's 2005 performance of Schubert's Winterreise with pianist Beverly Orlove was described by the Boston Phoenix as one of Boston's "Unforgettable Classical Events of 2005."
